Alexander MacDonald
Alexander MacDonald, also known as Alasdair MacMhaighstir Alasdair, was a renowned 18th-century Scottish Gaelic poet, Jacobite soldier, and pioneering lexicographer born in Dalilea, Moidart. He is celebrated for his epic poem 'Birlinn Chloinne Raghnaill' and for defending the Gaelic language during a time of severe decline, earning him the title 'Clanranald Bard'.
