Alexander Kent
Alexander Kent is the pseudonym of Douglas Reeman, a British author and former Royal Navy officer who served in World War II on convoy duty in the Atlantic, Arctic, and North Sea.[2][3][5] Under the Kent pen name, he wrote over twenty historical naval novels featuring Richard Bolitho and his nephew Adam, set during the Napoleonic Wars era.[2][4][7] Reeman honored a shipmate killed in WWII with the pseudonym and drew on his naval experience for authentic seafaring stories.[6][8]
