Alec Bristow
Alec Norman Bristow was a British RAF pilot born on October 20, 1916, in Epsom, England, who served with 105 Squadron during World War II, flying Mosquito B.IV on missions such as one on November 7, 1942. He was a Bomber Command pilot and POW, growing up in Guildford, Surrey, after being born in Epsom workhouse. He left the RAF in 1957, passed away in Guildford on October 18, 1990, at age 73, and authored books including 'The Sex Life of Plants'.
