Albert Schweitzer
Albert Schweitzer (1875–1965) was a German-French polymath who served as a theologian, philosopher, organist, musicologist, and physician, best known for founding the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer in Lambaréné, Gabon. He received the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize for his philosophy of 'Reverence for Life' and his tireless humanitarian work in equatorial Africa.
