Albert Abraham Michelson

Albert Abraham Michelson was an American physicist known for his precision optical instruments and the Michelson–Morley experiment, which laid the foundation for Einstein's theory of relativity. He was the first American to win a Nobel Prize in Physics, awarded in 1907. His work on measuring the speed of light and the development of interferometry had a lasting impact on modern physics.
