Alan Menken

Alan Menken is an acclaimed American composer and songwriter, best known for his iconic scores for Disney animated films such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Pocahontas, often in collaboration with lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. He began his career in musical theater with works like God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater and Little Shop of Horrors, and has won eight Academy Awards, eleven Grammy Awards, a Tony Award, and seven Golden Globe Awards, achieving EGOT status.
