Agustin Maes
Agustín Maes is an American writer born in New Mexico, where his ancestors settled in the 1630s, and raised 30 miles north of San Francisco, California. He holds degrees from the San Francisco Art Institute, an MFA in fiction from the New School in New York, and an MA in theology from the University of San Francisco; his novella Newborn was a runner-up for the Paris Literary Prize and published by Whisk(e)y Tit in 2019. His work has appeared in publications like The Gallatin Review, Blue Mesa Review, and anthologies such as New Stories from the South, and has been translated into French and Arabic; he resides in Oakland, California.[1][2]
