Agee

James Rufus Agee (1909–1955) was an American poet, novelist, influential film critic, and screenwriter known for his autobiographical novel A Death in the Family, which won a posthumous Pulitzer Prize in 1958. He co-wrote Let Us Now Praise Famous Men with photographer Walker Evans and scripted classic films including The African Queen and The Night of the Hunter.
