Johanna Basford is a Scottish illustrator and pioneering creator of modern adult coloring books, best known for her debut *Secret Garden* which topped bestseller lists in 2015 and sparked the adult coloring trend. She has sold over 25 million copies of her intricate, hand-drawn coloring books worldwide and prefers traditional pens and pencils over digital tools. In 2019, she broke the Guinness World Record for the largest drawing by an individual.[1][2][4][6]
