Adrian Poole

Adrian Poole is an Emeritus Professor of English Literature at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Trinity College, known for his extensive scholarly work on nineteenth-century novelists such as Dickens, Eliot, and Henry James. He has authored significant books including 'Tragedy: A very short introduction' and 'Shakespeare and the Victorians', and serves as a General Editor for the Complete Fiction of Henry James. Poole was born in Scotland and has lived and worked in Cambridge for over 50 years.
