Adrian Gregory

Dr Adrian Gregory is an Associate Professor of Modern History at Pembroke College, University of Oxford, where he has served as a lecturer and college tutor since 1997. He is the author of notable works including The Silence of Memory: Armistice Day 1919–1946 (1994) and The Last Great War, a compelling history of the British home front during the First World War. His research focuses on British society's understanding and endurance of the war, examining propaganda, rumor, and the ethic of volunteerism.
