Adria F Klein
Adria F. Klein is a professor emerita of reading education at California State University, San Bernardino, where she chaired the Department of Elementary and Bilingual Education, and currently serves as director of Saint Mary's College of California's Comprehensive Literacy Center.[1][4] She is a renowned expert in literacy instruction, particularly for striving readers and English language learners, having taught reading on five continents and authored numerous professional books, articles, and children's books on guided reading and related topics.[3][4][6] Klein holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading and ESL from the University of New Mexico (1979), an M.A. in English from West Virginia University (1970), and a B.A. in English, Drama, and Speech from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University (1968).[2]
