Ad Vingerhoets

Ad Vingerhoets is an emeritus professor of Clinical Psychology at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, specializing in stress, emotions, and quality of life. He is internationally recognized for his research on emotional tears and adult crying, a phenomenon he identifies as unique to humans. He retired in November 2019 but has remained active in his field of research.
