A. Weinberg

Alvin Martin Weinberg was an American nuclear physicist and administrator of Oak Ridge National Laboratory during and after the Manhattan Project. He was one of the founders of the American Nuclear Society and the first to use the term 'Faustian bargain' to describe nuclear energy. After leaving Oak Ridge in 1973, he founded the Institute for Energy Analysis and played a key role in establishing what became the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
