826 National is an educational nonprofit organization co-founded in 2002 by author Dave Eggers and educator Ninive Calegari to provide free writing and tutoring programs for students in grades K-12. It serves as the national hub supporting a network of eight chapters across the United States, including 826 Valencia, 826NYC, and 826LA, offering after-school programs, creative writing workshops, and student publications. Under CEO Laura Brief, it facilitates collaboration and expansion of youth writing initiatives nationwide.
