Interesting Characters in the Rice Family Tree

While researching my family tree, I discovered some of them were very interesting characters, people who made a difference in their world and ours.Some were influential nobles in Wales and England.King Henry VIII beheaded one. Later, his wife married King Henry, and Henry beheaded her too.One migrated to America in 1638 and changed how people dealt with land ownership forever.Four Rice boys were kidnaped by Indians.Another was a Civil War General who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery.In other words, some of my ancestors lived interesting lives, and I wanted to share their stories with others. But understanding their stories requires knowing a little bit of the times in which they lived, so I included a brief history lesson where it was needed.Hope you enjoy the stories.
