✓ RIGID YET FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE: Don't let ADHD or Executive Function problems stop you from achieving your goals. Take control of your schedule and time with a planner that is rigid yet flexible enough to keep the concept of structure from overwhelming you. This planner breaks things down to a weekly level and then gives you the freedom to decide how the days of the week are organized. I premade some of the parts that take a lot of time and don't help with keeping on top of tasks or goals. That said, I made sure to leave plenty of room for creativity and indulging in small distractions.✓ STAY FOCUSED, REDUCE DISTRACTIONS: I love my cellphone and I hate it too. When it comes to organization and keeping track of things it opened the doors or so I thought. Have you found yourself in the same situation? So many distraction options mixed in with the organization options. Oh, we're out of bread, I'll add it to the grocery list. First, let me check my email. Oh, I got a social media notification. Hmm, I haven't checked in on my favorite game today yet. A day later, dang it where's the bread!✓ HAVE FUN: Yes, a planner with room for fun! Planners are boring and that's part of the problem with traditional planners for people who well aren't traditional. Sure, first and foremost it is a planner but there's room to let your creativity run wild. There is extra space throughout the book. Even at designated places in the book for ideas, doodles, and more.✓ CREATED BY AN ADHDer: I am also a mother of a kid with ADHD. Suffice it to say finding ways to stay organized are important to me. I've tried a lot of things from traditional journals, task apps, calendars, etc. the list goes on and on. As time went on, I realized I wasn't the only one. None of it worked, the closest was a DIY planner, I found both graph and bullet styles worked well. The one part that had issues with was sometimes I didn't have the time to flesh out some aspects of the planner. Or it felt like it at least, that's how this planner was born.
