"A close look at the major religions of the world" is a book that centers on the five main religions of the world which comprises of Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and the New Age Spirituality. They are institutions organized long after the great masters have gone. Been human's careful work, it is however not perfect. But has indeed elements of the truth preached by all masters throughout history. It has the tendency to edify and uplift man spiritually if it is earnestly aimed at that. But man with his numerous desires ranging from control, fame, wealth and wisdom all lead religion into so much trouble. And today nearly all problems steams from religious differences. Each claims its alone has the truth. While all the rest condemned. Though judgment is said to be for God as Christians would say, yet humanity has done more damage to itself because of religious differences. Depending on the major one the minor ones are marginalized or destroyed and no religion is safe in the entire world. Instead of tolerance of one another's belief as we tolerate people's culture we live as open enemies destroying ourselves. History is filled with the devastating effects of religious intolerance and until humanity learns to live together without condemning this or that religion we would never have peace. The book draws from the central teachings of the world's religions towards establishing a society that is blessed with all that humanity has long for: Peace. That there is essentially ONE TRUTH in the whole world nay the entire universe. That all religions can be liken to the stars that gets their source of light from the SUN, so dos religions get their grains of truth that humanity yearns after from the universal truth. That the truth is no one's personal possession but an inheritance of the entire inhabitance of the universe. Attained through spiritual maturity. As Jesus says that a time would come when true worshippers will worship in truth and in spirit.
