Passover, the ordinance of Love: The religion of Christians (ministry series)

The Ordinances Passover is a word that has been surprisingly very silent in Christian writings and learning in general. This is indication of misunderstanding the key role it ought to play in sealing the manifestation of our spiritual identity.
Passover has been celebrated ever since people met together to call themselves a people "after God". You will notice how Jesus Himself always made it a date with the Passover. The Old testament circumcised people were qualified to eat of the Passover (Exod 12:44) .
Circumcision alone gauranteed that covenant. This covenant delivered them from an enslavement of over 400 years in the land of Egypt to the promised land flowing with milk and honey. Henceforth, as we talk about Passover, it should be a time to remember that we are a people named after the spiritual household of God.
We are a sanctified people that await the end time and a similar departure called rapture. Rapture in the same light of the rescue from Egypt is a long wait from the time Jesus promised it. The same rules apply and preparation is inevitable. The preparation is a hasty one. As we eat the bread and drink the wine of remembrance, we are purged. The leaven is cast away as we wait (1Cor 5:8) .
