Otium contains 20+ easy recipes for young teens and parents who are just starting off in the kitchen. Otium is the Latin word for leisure and peace. It is something you do in your down time, such as socializing and academic endeavors. This fits with what I want out of my cookbook and when I cook. Cooking should not be a task, it should be a fun activity that brings joy even during your stressful and busy life. Even reading this cookbook can give you a little spark of joy when you read something you did not know before. All proceeds will be donated to Black Lives Matter organizations.
