My Pandemic Baby

Opening chapter - Katy Lewis is a mother of one, wife and director of a childcare centre. This book is a memoir of life growing up in the UK then emigrating to Australia as an adult. The week Australia started shutting down due to the virus Covid-19, Katy was in hospital enduring a traumatic birth. My pandemic baby is a raw and honest account of pregnancy, birth and living in isolation as a new mother with a newborn during the pandemic. Women rarely talk in great detail about their journey and Katy wants to break the stigma. Not only has her world changed giving birth but she discusses how dramatically the world around her is changing due to the virus and when it hits home. She shares tips that she wished people would have shared with her before motherhood and does a diary of the first few months of her babies life.
