Michael Grover is the epitome of the writer who refuses to be defeated, deterred, or destroyed by any obstacle thrown in his way. His latest novel, Heavy Metal confirms his love of the craft. He is willing to sacrifice his body with ball busting labor while not losing his heart or soul to the muse he loves. Waking up in the morning to report to a place that was "a pit of depression" where "hope had abandoned," is physically and mentally exhausting. However, Michael kept going back, meeting interesting characters and tolerating ego-driven management that added to this word-warrior's arsenal of blood written on the page. The bottom line is Heavy Metal is a tasteful, truthful story of writer survival. A man who grudgingly lives the daily grind so he can go home at night and do what he does best - observe, think then jot down his experiences on the yellowed page.-Dan Provost
