This is a short novel about a troubled, retired, Police Officer struggling with PTSD. Detective Saverio has been living off the grid in Upstate New York since he retired, trying to forget the travesties of his military and police careers. When he thinks he has finally buried some of his past and learns to deal with his nightmares, a car shows up unexpectedly and changes his life. As a well known tracker and outdoorsman and respected Detective he is asked to come out of hiding to consult on the death of a young woman. Detective Saverio struggles with his own insecurities and the web of lies and suspicion of a small town rooted deep in the Adirondack Mountains.
