I recovered from death six times. The body is in the process of repair. The prognosis is good. A couple of flat line were a little too long. The result was some long term and short-term memory loss. I was told it would in time be evident how much of a loss I experienced. The golden chips of memories to use in my latter years has been important to me through most of my adult life. I did not recognize pictures of my wife in years around our wedding. When I was driven home, I did not recognize the house. My investigation was within my family and the generations before me. It begins in the early 1900s and passes through farming, education, China marines, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. In every family there is a person or more that somehow has a story worth listening. It is not the what, but it is the how that works the imagination. I found more than one.
