Substantially enlarged edition of Coomaraswamy's Essays on Hinduism and Buddhism orig. published in 1943. Incorporates author's authentic revisions. States that Hinduism is the oldest of the surviving mystery religions whose formulations are essentially the same as those of Platoism, Christianity, Taoism and other traditional doctrines. States Buddhism is not a 'New' religion, but rather a reiteration, with different emphasis of teachings in ancient Vedas.
