En el ático de la vieja mansión donde se acaba de mudar con su familia, Luis encuentra un espejo cuya superficie brillante no es sólida, sino líquida. Empujado por una fuerza superior a él, Luis entra en el espejo, y queda encerrado en un mundo en el que todos los habitantes, incluso su dulce vecina, son crueles y despiadados. Pushed by some stronger force, Luis enters the mirror and remains trapped in a world in which all the inhabitants, including his sweet neighbor lady, are cruel and hateful. Besides that, by crossing into the mirror, Luis has unleashed his other self, an ungrateful being willing to carry out all the evil acts that he can imagine.
