The Scarlet Plague

James Howard Smith, an elderly man, is assisted by a young, untamed youngster as he strolls down long-abandoned, overgrown railway tracks. Sixty years have passed since the great Red Death wiped off humanity, and the few survivors from all walks of life have created their own hierarchy and society amid a wild environment. The young offspring of the healthy know nothing of the world that was, just stories and fantasy. Science, art, and all knowledge have been lost. The only person who can describe the horrors of the epidemic that brought an end to that era and its wonders is the elderly guy. It is only conceivable what fate awaits the dwindling remains of humanity - their ignorance, brutality, and ruthlessness their only hope?
