The mystery of living things: Biological and Philosophical responses

Two professors have written this book on the origins and evolution of the universe, life and the human being. A double complementary approach: scientific and philosophical. They differentiate what we know, what we do not know and what we assume, supported by prestigious scientists and philosophers. Jose Ramon Ayllon, Professor of Philosophical Anthropology in the University of Navarra, has published essays and text books on Philosophy and Ethics in Ariel, Palabra, Martinez Roca, Desclée, Rialp and Edelvives. With Parade of Models he has been finalist in the Anagrama Essay Prize. José María Eiros Bouza holds a PhD in Medicine and Surgery, Professor of Microbiology at the University of Valladolid, has been Vice-Dean in the Faculty of Medicine for two periods. Head of the Department of Microbiology of the Hospital Universitario "Rio Hortega" of Valladolid. Postgraduate Diploma in Bioethics. He has lead the National Centre of Microbiology of Majadahonda (Madrid) and has been Manager of the Clinical and University Hospital of Valladolid. Researcher in 53 projects, author of 139 books and 486 scientific articles, director of 41 doctoral thesis. He has received 14 scholarships and 24 research awards.
