The last of fourteen books written over two years. The seeker is the first level of mastery, when the epiphany of selfhood, wisdom, and the knowledge of humanity culminates. This master is a seeker because they must go out and apply themselves to the world and ultimately break out of the mold of humanity to evolve to higher orders of mastery. Ascent of the Soul was the final straw, the trigger of such an epiphany, beginning with ten commandments of the master and the author's epitaph acknowledging the end of what was. This book explores the concepts of spirit and soul, the divine, Ethical, Buddhism, and psychological concepts of development through Ethical death. While mostly contemporary, it pushes the boundaries. For the author, this posed the ultimate challenge to own living as a Zen master and explore the human condition personally in order to evolve beyond the boundaries of humanity itself with only one rule: not to increase the suffering in the world. That rule guarantees success leading into failure and the wilderness where the highest orders of mastery can be attained. That is, if one doesn't become part of the wilderness or perish.
