We often get confused between what is right and what is wrong. Younger generations seeks answers to the questions from elders, but often fails to get the replies. There are a few persons who have understood the secrets of life. The life of such persons is our treasure. Their path is our source of inspiration. They have presented before us a role model. Rajasthan is fortunate to have produced many great social entrepreneurs and leaders. These leaders have led a life of principles. These leaders have given us the roadmap. We need to take inspiration and guidance from these leaders. We need to preserve and protect their memories for our next generations. This story is a story on one such great leader. The leader in this book is Acharya Sri Purushottam Uttam ji. He led a life of principles. He was a freedom fighter and after independence, he took the challenge of giving the path of development. He led a very simple and dedicated life based on age old Indian values. He adopted VANPRASTH-ASHRAM at the age of 50. He taught innumerable students and transformed them into literary and academic jewels. He established many organisations and institutions - not for profit - but for development of society. He established "Sahitya Sadvrat" - the society to promote literary and academic pursuits. This society started providing free education in early fourties. Sri Uttam ji established "Saral Samaj" the movement to pursue the goals of "Simple Living - High Thinking". His endeavours resulted in establishment of a series of institutions, which have made pioneering contribution. He along with Sri Ram Manohar Lohia and other great thinkers created the movement for promotion of social development in the form of Developmental Socialism. He wanted India to have a development path which considers people as central. His initiatives have helped in create the foundation for subsequent movement for "Welfare Economics". He was a Teacher and he loved this profession. He has created a series of Teachers - who are truly the transformers of students.
