BackSlide: The ReUnion: A rock Odyssey

A surreal comedy of a book. Haulage boss and semi-professional musician Andy has life worked out. That is until his seventy-six-year old Dad, Mick, ex-bassist with the defunct Sixties band, BackSlide, connects to the internet helped by his much younger; artist girlfriend, Rosie. Somehow, between them and a very strange website they manage to book a gig at the 02 Arena. The only problem is locating and collecting the remaining members of the band. Another equally weird website comes up with the answers and all for £400. Mick and Rosie persuade Andy into collecting 'The Fish' drums, 'The Vicar' Guitar, 'Dragon Boy' keyboards and 'The Joker' vocals, from the four corners of the After-Life. In a hired minibus Andy, Mick, Rosie and a couple of unexpected guests, set off on a modern-day odyssey of madness to put the band back together for one last gig. The road is winding and sometimes very bumpy. A Scottish cowboy, the Noggins family, a reincarnated dog an ancient boatman add the general mayhem of a journey into the unexpected.
