When I was 18 years old I moved to Los Angeles for every cliché reason imaginable. I went for the fame, for the fortune, the sex, the drugs, but most of all, the rock n roll. The Music. Growing up I idolized Jim Morrison, Anthony Kiedis and Kurt Cobain. I listened to them for hours, studied them like I was in school, watching every live performance I could get my eyes and ears on. Endlessly searching for what made them so culturally transcendent. I wondered if that same thing was inside of me. I was hell bent on doing everything in my power to follow in their iconic footsteps. This book is a memoir of what happened during those four hazy years living in the City of Angels pursuing my dream of becoming a rockstar.- JRH
