Battle Road

Paul Revere's midnight ride, "one if by land, two if by sea", "the shot heard 'round the world", the battles at Lexington and Concord...If ever a single day has been woven in myth and legend, it is the 19th of April, 1775. From the lanterns in Old North Church to that famous midnight ride, these events have taken on a storybook mystique. In actuality, it was far from it. It took more nerve than most of us can imagine to be holding a musket on that chilly April dawn...or to be riding at break-neck speed in the dead of night raising the alarm, knowing full well that mounted patrols were on the same road looking for you! Hear it as it was, there is no glossed over legend here.
