Cindy Babyn was born in Toronto, Canada. She has lived in the following locations (sometimes multiple locations in the same neighbourhood) , all of which has contributed to the expertise she developed around moving: Toronto (The Beaches, The Annex, Christie Pitts, Regal Heights, Seaton Village, the Financial District) ; Ottawa (Nepean, The Glebe, Manor Park) ; Quebec (Gatineau, Chelsea) ; The Netherlands (four locations in Rotterdam) ; and Spain (Vilanova i la Geltru, near Barcelona) . Cindy Babyn was nominated for the White Pine Award in 2014 for Moving Out! A Young Adult's Guide to Living on Your Own. In 2019 Cindy released Saving Mastercore, an action, sci-fi, early chapter book for kids ages 8-12. It's complete with illustrations, definitions for tricky words, chapter summaries and questions for the reader. Cindy Babyn is available for author readings, book signings, and workshops.
