Whittled By Time

A slave escapes from his master in Georgia and slowly makes his way to freedom in the North... Isaac travels on foot, by ship, wagons and is helped by religious sects, Abolitionists and free blacks. Aspects of the Freedom quilt and recently discovered safe houses in the northeast are the backdrop of this story. Isaac was always aware that a single word could change the course of his life. Factual chapters are interspersed throughout the book to provide the reader with details of slavery prior to and immediately after the Civil War.
