Code of Life-Cycle Inventory Practice

Life-cycle inventory is used to collect data about presence and movement of chemicals and other toxic materials in the environment. This report provides advice to practitioners on how to improve data collection and exchange. Five subcommittees from the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry's Workgroup on Data Availability and Data Quality look at driving forces for data exchange, recommended parameters and exchanges, discuss the testing of software, explore the variability of databases for different models, and examine issues of data quality.
