Wonder and Magic: The David Tales

In Wonder and Magic, Per Jespersen has created a magic world, a world of enchantment for children (and adults) of all ages. David, the little shoeshine boy, goes out at night to polish the shoes of the rich passers-by in his city; his family is poor, and they need the money he brings back after working so hard. But one night, he polishes the shoes of an elderly man, who has on his finger an unusual ring . . .
