This second volume to report on the results of recent excavations at the late Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman city of Amorium in Turkey presents a broad range of themes in order to introduce the reader more generally to the scope of the archaeology and the history of the site. Thirteen chapters are divided into seven finds research papers, the majority of which offer preliminary findings, and six technical studies. Subjects include: sculpture fragments; marble vessel fragments; Roman and early Byzantine terracotta lamps; middle Byzantine terracotta lamps; belt buckles; glazed pottery of the Turkish period; polychrome decoration in the lower city church; painted polychromy on carved stones; fresco and mosaic fragments; human skeletal remains; textile fragments; the excavations, conservation and analysis of organic material from a tomb in the narthex of the lower city church.
