A memoir of a woman who survived rape and molestation as a child/teen. She married as a teen--became a single Mom. She struggled with work place bias and coercion. She was raising kids with special needs. So she chose to educate herself in the all male world of coal mining. She broke the glass ceiling with technology and soil chemistry. She dealt with the hard remarks from men who thought she should be home cooking and cleaning (she did most of that at midnight) . She became a top environmental consultant in her state on revegetation, regulations, reclamation, soil management and use of compost while planting post mine lands. She won state and federal awards on reclaimed land. Her income mirrored her success.
