Momma had been doing her best to help Daddy with all of these birds and shrimp and the neighbors with the trees and her displaced begonias in this sudden Christmas Circus. In the meantime, Mrs. Dark and the children had been studying feathers the children brought in, photographs of the eggs, and photographs they had taken of the growing birds.
