Where's the Ham and Rib's: An in depth look at God's dietary laws

Food and eating is the thing that we all do. The question then is can we eat anything or are we limited to what we should eat. If we know what Leviticus 11 says , we see a list of foods that God says we can eat and others that we can not. As believers in God, many will say that was for Israel of old and does not apply to us today, we jump to certain texts in the New Testament to prove our point. I know , I have done that myself many times over the years, until I began to look at other text which most do not look at or know nothing about, like in Isaiah 65:3 , 66:17 , and when the context of these verses are understood it will make you think. There are many other texts we will look at that makes a person think also. In Leviticus 11: 44 God tells us to be holy as He is holy, and one way is by what we eat. Ham and Rib's the food that many of enjoy at different times of the year , is there a law that prohibits eating this animal. If I eat the ham and ribs at what point in my relationship to God would I give up eating this animal. This is a study into scripture of texts that we all know and looking into text of scripture that normally are not look at. In this we will cover from Genesis to Revelation this will make us look at this subject in a way that you may not have consider before, In the section on a plant base diet, there are those that say we should only eat plants and no meat are they right , or is there a benefit to eating that way ?
