Denouement Before The Reign

If infinite love, beyond what can be defined, is the measure of a reality, what happens when that reality is then limited to human existence? Can a day be forever? Or, forever be a day? Does it matter? To the angels Faith and Grace, who have lived without regard to time all of their existence, the clock, newly set in the stars of the sky, is making life in Paradise a bit confined. Their struggle to accept the changes to come, and willfully become partakers in the Grand Design takes a bit of time. As the two make their way through the great rift and into the world of mortal men they realize things are not as they should be... "Sorry Grace," Faith looked about cautiously, "I'm thinking and it isn't coming easily for me here. It's like everything is backwards, and I got to turn it around in my mind. I'm not meaning to ignore you. This is the world of mortal men, sometime in the not too distant future. As far as I can tell maybe a few million years from Paradise's beginning. And yes, I know we are in this together."Grace raised an eyebrow, and looking at him obviously puzzled said, "I have crossed the path of mortal men more than once, and journeying to my missions was always easy. I would like to understand why this mission is so hard on my being, and why I have never been called to this place before. Am I not worthy?"Faith looked astonished. "You are Grace, enough said." And changing the subject he added, "Stay close, it's not safe here.""Only a few million years, huh? I can hold my own, Thank You Very Much!"But can she?
