Remembering Our Baby: A Book for Siblings After SIDS

This gentle and simple book gives families the words to talk to children who are grieving the loss of a baby who died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) . SIDS can be hard for adults to explain, as research is still being done to understand this tragic condition. This book includes tips for adult caregivers. In addition, the book ends with ideas of ways a family can memorialize and remember their baby.The words and illustrations are appropriate for a variety of family dynamics, races, and cultures. The goal of this book is to give all caregivers the words to talk about this hard subject with children affected by a baby's death.This book was commissioned by the Iowa SIDS Foundation. Part of the proceeds will be given directly to ISF to help fund the support they provide to families who have experienced a SIDS death.
