WOMBbhala: A Sacred Destination for all women who are tourists on the great loop of the Mothers

WOMBbhala is a surreal tale of a woman, a Spectator - who we ultimately all are. The story takes place in the Magical Movie Picture Show, metaphor for life's fleeting experience. In search of her meaning as female, she is challenged by the Saturday Matinee Dancer to confront the Inner, Outer and Secret WOMBbhala (mystery memory system) . Trusting her perceptions, she realizes victimization will eventually lead to her becoming the victor. Dear Reader, As a kid, the movie picture show was everything that ever was. However fascination for pictures, images, ultimately became a dilemma for me; in a world dominated by Logic and Language, how does one speak up for herself from the authenticity of her womb, the place of Symbol and Imagery?Thus, today's feminist challenge: #MeToo, #TimesUp and "The Future is Female."ENTER Jane Manx . . . . . .who, in my my WOMBbhala story, is challenged by Ornub, the Saturday Matinee Dancer, to confront the Magical Memory Picture Show's screen. Some times horrific, some times funny, and other times plainly hysterical, all that is projected for the "Spectator" leads to the acceptance of her Reality as "Female."Throughout her sojourn, the Spectator/Jane is persuaded to assimilate the darker energies that live alongside the lighter ones in our psyches; to embrace the Trinitarian Goddess whose multiple face as Creator, Destructor and Protector is already reflected in our own. My wish - for any woman who reads WOMBbhala, is that she takes away a new version of herself; one in which she affirms her womanhood by validating and honoring "Female Is Sacred," -necessary before there can be equanimity between the sexes.Validating the sacredness of being female led me to trace the teachings of Helena Roerich - who wrote of the return of the "Sacred Feminine" - to Mongolia; and to Madam Blavatsky's sacred "Mother India;" to imagine the myth of the Queen of Sheba in Ethiopia, and the legend of the Matriarch Sarah in Palestine; to be awed by the Divine Feminine (Shekinah, Sophia and Sakina) while wandering the old city of Jerusalem; and to endure the wrath of Sekhmet in Egypt, as well as to yearn for the peace of Kuan Yin in China. I have attempted with WOMBbhala to envision "new" images (word/pictures) that express a feminist/female symbol system which deviate from male-centered models; a process of fusing personal revelations with archaic realities - taking nothing as illicit! WOMBbhala is a surreal tale of a woman (the Spectator) who is in search of her meaning as female. She must trust her perceptions and assume victimization will ultimately make her the victor. Told, more or less nonlinearly, the story comes together from varying points of view, the way a theme may be repeated variously throughout a music composition.The setting for the "Spectator" (as we, ultimately, all are) is in the Magical Memory Picture Show (metaphorically, life's fleeting experience) ; or, is the setting the woman's place inside herself: her fears, confusions as well as her understandings. Her emotions drive the story - is she reacting to what's around her, or are her surroundings a result of her reactions? The characters, or actors, that inhabit the story, are as fluid as their surroundings, and are possibly the same woman in various incarnations!There is no beginning, no end. All is process.
