A true story so unusual, the author prefers to remain anonymous -- This is the story of one man's forty-year journey. It began as an abused runaway seeking an end to domestic violence but it only got worse at the hands of a drug-addicted lover. The story begins in the 1970s by outlining a family's extensive domestic violence and a brother's suspected involvement in a celebrity sibling's murder. Eventually, the brother would commit suicide during a prison escape attempt. Simultaneously, the author was discovering his own self-realization of sexual orientation. Desperate efforts led to refuge with a man twenty years his senior and a drug dealer. Life then became further abuse and death threats from a dangerous, drug addicted partner. After being subjected to violent parents and a drug crazed lover, life became a series of difficult relationships pervaded by deceit, death and self-compromising. Eventually, the protagonist was led through the emotional process of adopting a neglected foster child. Follow the twists and turns that left one man fighting the adversities brought on by a life made to feel inconsequential.
