The beginning of the World Championship was in 1950, and from the pre-war designs these two decades were witnesses of the introduction of the rear-engined cars as mandatory to win, the monocoque chassis, aluminium and fiberglass bodies, the beginning of aerodynamics, and sponsors which replaced national colours. Jean Louis Malar has been illustrating racing cars, motorbikes and all kind of wheeled vehicle since his childhood with a special predilection for technical drawings and confer them shades and colours.
