I've made all my choices freely in this life, but how I wish they were all perfect without errors. Only in the last fifteen years can I say I have chosen, not perfectly mind you, but wisely. All my choices are now founded upon reason and common sense and logic and a belief in an actual Creator, which is a philosophy called Deism. Unlike revealed religious beliefs that seek to isolate mankind and to sever the tie that binds one human to another, Deism never makes demands. Deists are instead individuals who choose to stand alone in their trust in the Creator. Paradise or Heaven, should there be such places, are reserved for religious believers. The rest of humanity? Deism seeks to unite mankind with a universal truth that all can accept not founded on a book called holy created by mankind to control mankind. Deism looks to the Cosmos, Nature, and the endlessness of the night's sky, each as a book to help guide mankind. Deism does not require a promise or a reward of Heaven or Paradise as an incentive to be a good and loving person; it is simply the right thing to do. We all shall see truth if there is anything to see in the by and by. Perhaps, we will simply go to a deep, dreamless sleep and know nothing more as a few souls believe? I really don't know what happens at the last moment; even so, I will maintain my trust in the Creator to the very end. I shall hold to reason and common sense until my time here is ended.
