Making a Difference

Students are often assigned reading about historic figures and people who have impacted our society in unique ways but we fail to help students understand what it means to be a good citizen. Citizenship must be taught and encouraged, just like multiplication tables and phonics rules but schools have so many responsibilities that sometimes teaching about citizenship falls between the cracks. For many children, parents wish to instill these important principles but don't know exactly how to go about it.
