Seniors Hayden Curtis and her teammate are brutally assaulted in a park while participating in a benefit alternate reality game. Hayden's daughter, Lea enters the game as a contestant to discover who's attacking the players. As Lea enters the world of online gaming, she squares off with six contestants who would stop at nothing to win the one hundred and fifty thousand dollar prize offered to the winner of the game. Joe Wade, on leave from his police job, teams up with Lea to enter the games and seek out the attacker. Unable to find any past history on Hayden's new friend, he digs deeper into the woman's life. What Joe and Lea uncover is that Hayden's teammate wasn't playing the game for the prize money, and now a young child becomes the real game. A game...a child...who wins?
