This novel has been for me a big surprise to everyone. When I started working on it, my idea was to make a simple exercise to help me consider the other side of Eclipse, which was currently editing. While writing this little story, it struck me that my site could include as a gift for all fans. Then, once I started working in Twilight Saga: The Official Guide Fan, I thought it would be a good material for this book. Finally, the new vampire story took too long making it a novel.
